Reservations and deposits:
Since Cretan Adventures' tours are limited
to 16 persons, an early reservation is recommended. This
booking form must be completed and returned to the company
with a deposit of 30% of the total price in order to make
a reservation. The balance is due 20 days before the departure
of the trip.
If full payment is not made 20 days prior
to departure date , Cretan Adventures
have the right to cancel the reservation and keep the deposit.
Cancellations:
a) By you - If you need
to cancel your reservation, cancellation fees will be determined
according to the date we received your written note (mail
or fax).
- If canceling 30 - 20 days prior to trip start, the
30% deposit will be kept.
- If canceling 19-5 days prior to trip start, 50% of
the trip cost will be kept.
- If canceling less than 5 days prior to trip start,
100% of the trip cost will be kept.
b) By us - We reserve
the right to cancel a trip up to 7 days before
departure if there are not enough participants to make
it viable. In this case, we will inform you about the cancellation.
We will either refund your money in full or transfer it
to another trip if you prefer. We will not offer any other
compensation.
However, Cretan Adventures is not responsible
for additional expenses incurred by you in preparing for
the trip (e.g., non-refundable air tickets, visa fees if
applicable, gear or medical expenses)
Refunds
Cretan Adventures does not give any refunds
for unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing trips or trek
arrangements. Land cost is quoted as a package: credits
are not given for services not used.
Itinerary Changes : Cretan Adventures
reserves the right to alter the itinerary of any trip for
numerous reasons beyond our control (harsh weather, trail
conditions, schedule changes etc), if in our opinion, such
an action becomes necessary, to ensure the safety and the
well being of the group. The final trip selection is left
up to Cretan Adventures' tour leader and any additional
cost will charge the participant.
Cretan Adventures does not accept any
responsibility for services provided by air, rail, bus
or shipping companies,
which are part of the trip.
We assume no responsibility, therefore
caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property
in connection with any service provided by an independent
contractor or resulting directly from the following: -
acts of God - detention annoyance - terrorism - thefts - pilferage - force
majeure - civil disturbances - government restrictions
or regulations - strikes - delays and expenses arising
from quarantine - failure of any means of conveyance to
arrive or depart as scheduled - discrepancies or change
in transit or hotel services over which have no control.
Traveler Responsibility:
As a traveler you have the responsibility
to select a trip appropriated to your interests and ability.
Making the tour guide aware if you feel unable to participate
in a particular activity.
Cretan Adventures' guides reserve the
right to reject any participant from a particular activity
for reasons of inability or behavior endangering the safety
and the welfare of him/herself or others, without this
being a reason for refund.
The traveler must at all times strictly
comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug
regulations of the country visited. Should the traveler
fail to comply with the above, or should the client interfere
with the well being of the group then the tour leader may
order the traveler to leave the tour without recourse to
any refund.
Acceptance of risk:
The client acknowledges that the nature
of the tour is adventurous and that such holidays may involve
a significant amount of personal risk. Such risks include
injury, disease, loss or damage to property, discomfort
and inconvenience.
Insurance:
Everyone participating in any of Cretan
Adventures events/activities is covered by personal insurance
through A.I.G GREECE.
Cretan Adventures is not responsible
for any accidents or mishaps directly or indirectly related
to the tour.
