This is the only Via Ferrata in Crete located in a remote location on Asterousia Mountains on south Crete. It is well belayed, easy to cross and perfect for the training of new explorers. After the Ferrata we can continue for a small hike up to Kofinas Mountain at 1231m, the highest peak of Asterousia mountain range. During the activity you will have the chance to admire breathtaking views to the rocky landscape of south Crete and south coast of central Crete.
Everyone participating in any of Cretan Adventures events/activities is covered by third party insurance through Ethniki Asfalistiki.
Participants need to be covered by their own personal insurance (Health/accident insurance) for the chosen activities.
Cretan Adventures is not responsible for any accidents or mishaps directly or indirectly related to the tour.
Participants need to be in good shape with a little of experience in climbing.
Not suggested for people who are afraid of heights or suffer from vertigo.
Please bear in mind that the itinerary can be altered for numerous reasons beyond our control (e.g. harsh weather, trail conditions) to ensure the safety and the well being of the group. The final canyoning selection is left up to the trip leader.
